Preliminary Announcement
It is a pleasure to welcome you to the upcoming 42nd Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM), of the Australia and New Zealand Burn Association (ANZBA) – the peak body for health professionals responsible for the care of the burn injured in Australia and New Zealand.
Join us over 4 days, 16-19 October 2018, at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre where over 300 Burn care professionals will meet to share knowledge and provide an update on the latest research, new technology and accomplishments in improving burn care.
The meeting theme of “Scar Wars” will stimulate and challenge each individual to improve their clinical practice and research in burn care as we all strive to achieve the best scar outcomes for our patients. The meeting will focus on scar symptoms such as itch, the mechanisms of burn scarring and innovative scar treatments that patients and health professionals have identified as top priorities in burn care. The multi-disciplinary approach to burn and scar management, from emergency and acute management through to the long term functioning, will also be a focus as it is often regarded as the key to successful outcomes for burn injuries of all sizes and severities. With international and local speakers who are world leaders in their fields, the program will present the latest research, innovations and emerging technologies, with topics to interest every professional who is associated with, or a member of a burn care team.
The gateway to the picturesque Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, with some of the most beautiful beaches in Australia, Brisbane is the perfect destination to come to for the ASM. You can also stay on to enjoy the beautiful Queensland hospitality.
We look forward to welcoming you to the ANZBA ASM in Brisbane next October.
