An introduction to the current state of obesity and bariatric surgery in 2021.

Biography:

Dr Andrew Kiyingi is a Consultant Bariatric and General Surgeon and Endoscopist with advanced training in minimally invasive surgery. Andrew oversees a thriving multidisciplinary bariatric practice with a particular interest in surgery for type 2 diabetes.

Dr Andrew Kiyingi has been awarded Masters of Surgery (USyd), Post Graduate Diploma in Surgical Anatomy (UMelb) and the Phoenix Health International Bariatric Fellowship in addition to FRACS. Andrew has been a faculty member of surgical skills training under RACS since 2014.
