When someone recovers from a significant or severe burn injury, we call them a burn survivor. Often their whole world changes as they adapt to the impacts of living with a burn injury.

These stories often reflect and celebrate the burn survivor’s resilience, determination, and courage to keep going, turning up every day for dressing changes, physio, the next round of surgeries or even those significant milestones of daily living and finding their new normal.

But, are they the only heroes of their stories?
