Abstract

Atypical fibroxanthoma (AFX) is a rare and aggressive skin tumour that typically occurs in the actinic skin of elderly individuals. Herein, we report a rare case of AFX developing within a burn scar. We examine the current literature regarding AFX developing in burns, including patient characteristics, potential pathophysiology, and reported patient outcomes.
