Biography

Dr. Tanveer Ahmed is a Plastic Surgeon in Dhaka, Bangladesh. His qualification is MBBS, FCPS (Plastic Surgery), FACS (USA), CMEd. He is a Associate Professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn & Plastic Surgery. He regularly provides treatment to his patients at Labaid Cancer Hospital & Super Speciality Center.
He completed his FCPS in Plastic Surgery from Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2013 and has overseas training from Australia, Canada, USA, UK and Thailand through different prestigious scholarships by BAPRAS/BFIRST, RACS, ACS and ASPS and Interplast. His particular interest besides Reconstructive Surgery is Hand, Paediatric Plastic, Facial Plastic, Skin Cancers, Male Breast/ Gynaecomastia and Burns. In addition to his clinical work, he oversees training of Bangladeshi post-graduate plastic surgery residents, teaches and facilitates skills labs, and undertakes research producing scientific and academic publications. He also has a strong interest in development of building improved systems for clinical education, hospital management and patient record management.
